Nelson Salis is a native New Yorker working at the intersection of film, conceptual art direction and graphic design.

Nelson is a compassionate storyteller, eliciting natural performances by making genuine connections with his subjects. He combines expressive visuals with moving narratives to create personal and compelling films.

Nelson has created award-winning work for numerous clients including Mercedes-Benz, Sprite, Perdue Farms and The New York Post. He has designed countless album covers, posters, logos and all kinds of images that function across multiple platforms.

In his free time Nelson can be found teaching himself jazz drums, watching films with the sound off, and reading obscure non-fiction way past his bedtime.
